Day 1:
Arrive in Nairobi & Transfer to Great Rift Valley
Welcome to Kenya. You’ll arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and be met be a representative, who will welcome you and help you with your bags and transfer. You’ll take a short road transfer to Lake Naivasha, the first stop on your luxury Kenya and Tanzania safari tour. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus and home to greater and lesser flamingos at the right time of year.

Day 2:
Lake Nakuru National Park
Start your morning with a dawn game drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, watching the sunrise colours light up the lake and watching wildlife come alive. The park is famous for birdwatching, with a huge collection of colourful species to spot, including the famous pink flamingos. Noted for its year-round natural beauty, featuring rocky escarpments and pockets of acacia trees, Lake Nakuru National Park is home to both black and white rhinos, hippos, leopards, lions and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. The park is named after Lake Nakuru, a soda lake nestled into the ancient Great Rift Valley and a feeding ground for thousands of flamingos. Return to Loldia House for your second night.

Day 3:
Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
Today, you’ll head to Loldia Airstrip, where you’ll take a domestic flight to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s superlative wildlife-watching destination. You’ll be staying for two nights at Saruni Mara, a luxury property comprised of five elegant cottages, one family villa and one private villa. Tucked away in the Africa:Mara North Conservancy, a stay at Saruni Mara offers access to an exclusive private wildlife concession bordering the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Day 4:
Explore the Masai Mara National Reserve
Today, you’ll spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara, home to Africa’s Big Five and the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra (depending on the time of year you visit). Arguably the world’s greatest safari destination, the Mara boasts thriving populations of zebra, impala, gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo and elephant on the plains; lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs on the prowl; plus hippos and crocodiles lurking in the Mara and Talek Rivers.
Explore the Mara with shared day and night game drives in 4×4 vehicles, guided bush walks led by Maasai warriors, bush meals, sundowners and picnic excursions.

Day 5:
Fly to Serengeti National Park
Today, you’ll hop over the border between Kenya and Tanzania, following the route of the great migration, with a scheduled flight from Masai Mara to Serengeti Seronera through Migori and Tarime.
You’ll arrive at Mbali Mbali Soroi Serengeti Camp, where you’ll be staying for the next two nights. Set high on a natural plateau with endless views of the Musabi Plains in the Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park, this property is made up of beautiful thatched chalets, a three-tier decked main area, a swimming pool, a fireplace, open-plan restaurant and kitchen. Day 6:
Explore the Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous wildlife-watching destination, offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa. The national park is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on the planet—the Great Migration. Every year, over 2.5 million wildebeest migrate from Serengeti National Park to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
If you’re visiting at the right time, you’ll see herds of wildebeest and zebra stretching to the horizon. Embark on morning and afternoon game drives on the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you’ll spot an abundance of African wildlife. This spectacular national park offers amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and it’s highly likely that you’ll see zebra, impala, Grant’s gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo, rhino and elephant, plus lions, cheetahs and leopards.

Day 7:
Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
Today, you’ll leave the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique natural phenomenon and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Crater is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking wildlife safari sites in the world, with the 600-meter crater wall offering incredible wildlife viewing opportunities.
You’ll be staying at The Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, a beautiful secluded destination nestled within Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy commanding views of the Ngorongoro Crater or ‘Africa’s Eden’, from a unique elevated position on its south-western rim, at an altitude of 2,375 meters. Enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner looking out at the landscape, then relax by the campfire with a glass of wine.

Day 8:
Explore the Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy hiking, climbing and waterfall-chasing around Mount Olmoti and Mount Makarot. Meet the local Maasai community which calls the Ngorongoro Crater home and wildlife watch in a truly unique location.
You can expect to see a diverse range of creatures, including buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, zebra, hippo and elephant. There’s also a huge population of predators: lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah and leopard. The resident population of black rhinos is a real treat, as they’re very difficult to spot elsewhere in Tanzania.

Day 9:
Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
Your final stop on your luxury Kenya and Tanzania tour is Lake Manyara, where you’ll be staying at the scenic Kirurumu Manyara Lodge. It is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley with panoramic views of Lake Manyara, the Rift floor, Mount Losimingori and the Ngorongoro Highlands.
